An opportunity has been created for Uzbek youth to study for a master's degree in Sweden.

Applicants must apply for a grant by January 15, 2026.

Uzbekistan has been included in the list of countries eligible for free education in prestigious master's programs in Sweden under the Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals (SISGP) program.

The SISGP scholarship program is aimed at supporting future leaders from developing countries who aim to contribute to sustainable development.

The program covers English-language master's programs implemented at 29 leading higher education institutions in Sweden. Among them are KTH, Lund University, Uppsala University, Karolinska Institute, Chalmers University, and others, which are among the top European universities.

Citizens of Uzbekistan can apply for master's programs at Swedish universities in the following areas:

public administration;

medicine;

entrepreneurship and innovation;

STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics).

According to the selection rules, the choice of study program remains the candidate's discretion. However, preference is usually given to applications that are in line with the priorities of sustainable development and demonstrate the candidate's ability to apply the acquired knowledge in their home country.

The application procedure consists of two parallel stages:

the candidate's choice of a master's program (via the following link:

https://si.se/en/apply/scholarships/swedish-institute-scholarships-for-global-professionals/), in which it is important to indicate the most suitable university as the first choice;

submission of documents to the universities for the selected master's programs via a centralized platform

(www.universityadmissions.se) - until January 15, 2026;

application for a Swedish Institute scholarship - February 9-25, 2026.

Basic requirements for candidates:

completed higher education (at least bachelor's degree);

knowledge of the English language at the required level;

proven professional experience (work experience relevant to the field of study - at least 1 year);

a motivation letter demonstrating leadership qualities and the potential to implement the acquired knowledge in Uzbekistan.

The Swedish Institute is a state organization engaged in the global dissemination of information about Sweden, as well as the development of international cooperation in the fields of culture, education, science, democracy and sustainable development.
