On February 24 of this year, the open dialogue of our head of state Shavkat Mirziyoyev with young people played a significant role in bringing youth policy in our country to a completely new level. Today, young people are the greatest strength of our country and a decisive factor in its future development. The President’s declaration of every Thursday as “Youth Day”, the allocation of an additional $200 million to support youth entrepreneurship, and the increase in credit limits for self-employed and young people starting businesses by several times are all part of a systematic approach aimed at ensuring the economic independence of young people.
In particular, the opportunity to invest up to $100,000 in innovative startup projects, the “Future Entrepreneur” and “New Generation Entrepreneurs” programs, “Youth Business Incubator” centers, and financial support mechanisms within the “Growth and Development” (Upshift) project also pose completely new challenges for higher education institutions.
The National Institute of Art and Design named after Kamoliddin Behzod assesses these initiatives as a solid foundation for the formation and development of a creative economy in our country. After all, in today's global economy, fine and applied arts, design, branding, cultural management and creative industries are becoming important drivers of economic growth.
In this regard, the team of our institute also sets itself important strategic tasks in order to ensure the implementation of the initiatives put forward by the head of our state.
In particular, we need to pay serious attention to the issue of bringing the educational process as close as possible to practice. Today, our institute has agreements with 8 departments, 44 organizations and institutions on sending students to practice. Now, further accelerating practical work in this area, we will expand the mechanisms for directing graduates to internships, integrating them with the real sector and supporting their initial work experience within the framework of the “My First Profession” program.
To support the startup initiatives of our young designers and artists, a system of incubation of creative projects, development of a business plan, and consultation on the use of grants and soft loans will be formed at the institute. Our students will be supported in their active participation in the "Young Entrepreneurs" competition, the "Future Entrepreneur" program, and other financial mechanisms. . .
In order to improve the professional potential of our students, we will increase their readiness for the labor market by strengthening cooperation with applied art workshops, design studios, advertising and branding companies to expand dual education and cooperation with employers.
We see ensuring the employment of 526 graduates of our institute who are about to graduate this year as a strategic issue. Informing graduates who are starting their own businesses about preferential loans, grants and loans, and providing them with legal and economic support will become an important area of the institute's activities. In this regard, on the basis of the "Career Center" established at our institute, together with partner organizations and institutions and business entities, we will implement a number of projects aimed at ensuring youth employment.
At the same time, we will strengthen spiritual and educational work, create the necessary conditions for young students to engage in sports, and promote volunteerism. Initiatives aimed at developing a culture of reading, supporting creative people, and encouraging high-achieving, champion-like, and talented youth who regularly engage in sports are also directly related to the activities of our institute. Because artistic thinking, physical and healthy thinking, broad outlook, and intellectual potential are the basis of creative education.
🇺🇿 As our President emphasized, in today's conditions, a higher education institution cannot remain just a place for awarding diplomas. Therefore, our university must also become a center of innovative ideas, a creative cluster, an incubator for entrepreneurship, and a platform for creating new jobs.
As is known, the field of art and design is not only a field of creativity for young people, but also an important means of economic stability, creating export-oriented products, and forming national brands. The new generation of artists, designers, and creative managers must directly participate in strengthening the prestige of our country in the international arena.
Therefore, the team of our institute considers the consistent implementation of the tasks set by the head of our state, radically improving the quality of education, ensuring youth employment, and making a worthy contribution to the creative economy as its priority strategic goal, and serves as a strong strategic force in practically supporting the strategic initiatives put forward by our President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and successfully implementing them.
